Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday invoked particular provisions and granted emergency monetary powers to the armed forces to empower them and pace up their efforts to tide over the prevailing Covid scenario within the nation
“These powers will assist Formation Commanders to ascertain and function quarantine amenities/hospitals and undertake procurement/restore of apparatus/objects/materials/shops, in addition to provisioning of varied providers and works required to assist the continued effort in opposition to the pandemic,” mentioned Ministry of Defence in a press release.
