It was 2019, and I was attending a prominent startup event, eager to learn and connect with like-minded individuals. But as I looked around, I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off. Where were the women my age? The ones who had spent decades honing their skills, raising families, and building communities? Why were they being overlooked, ignored, and dismissed as “too old” to be relevant in the world of entrepreneurship?

This pivotal moment changed everything for me. I realized that the narrative around entrepreneurship was woefully incomplete, with most media outlets and resources catering to the young and the tech-savvy. But what about the women who were just getting started, or restarting, in their 50s and beyond? Don’t they deserve a platform, a voice, and a community that understands their unique challenges and strengths? This question haunted me, and eventually, it became the driving force behind the creation of Old Ladies Rebellion in 2020.
